Biography
It all began when my father put me in the car with my sketchbook in hand, and took me to see an art teacher in a nearby town. . . the rest is history, and it's all his fault I say!
With a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northern Kentucky University and a major in Graphic Design, I enjoyed a successful, 14 year career in graphic design. That was B.C. (before children). After the third child in 1998, I decided to pursue a new opportunity which offered more hands-on opportunities for creating. Using my arts background, and some introductory faux finishing classes with Gary Lord, I opened Design Works for business.
I thoroughly enjoy experimenting with decorative paints, learning new techniques and working with clients to make their homes beautiful and comfortable for the way they live.
